In
terms of flora and fauna. Himalaya is alpine in character, with snow
covered peaks, green pastures, pine forests and white water streams.
Flora in lower Hindukush is Mediterranean in character. Karakorum is
located the north of Himalayan wall which does not allow any
precipitation to go North. Hindukush is more effected by western winds
and support semi dry Mediterranean flora. Pamirs is a high plateau and
offers polar weathers. Being geographically very young all these
mountains pinnacle, vertical and jetting high. Unlike
Nepal where most of the high peaks are visible in the horizon mountains
in Pakistan are located just next to where you stay. We offer you to
view eight peaks higher than 7000 Mts. It also include Nanga Parbat 8125
Mts. the ninth highest in the world. It’s
just not the landscape, which makes it such a special place in the
world. The deep valleys of these mountains are home for run away tribes
of Aryans, separated the main body of the migrating tribe some 2000
years ago. They are living segregated life style and preserving their
ancient cultures for thousands of years. One of them Kalash is supposed
to be descendents of Greek soldiers of Alexander’s army. You will also visit Peshawar, the last of the oriental bazaar town on the ancient caravan route still living and surviving. Walking through the bazaars of Peshawar is like visiting a museum of faces. So many different nationalities are living and doing barter trades, ranging from Pashtoons, Afghan, Tartars, Uzbeks to name a few. |
